Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) has been completely condemned by the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) and the federal government.
It is pointed out that NCWS chairman Gloria Shoda lamented the behavior of the partners on the reality television show, stating it does not represent the culture of Nigeria.
She was not against the BBN reality show, she says, but the sex material, according to Sahara Reporters.
“The thing influencing my sensitivity is having live sex on stage and it has a negative impact on the upcoming young kids. Does it mean that for three months they can’t abstain from sex? I’m condemning BBN’s gender content, “it’s said.
The National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) Director-General, Segun Runsewe, supported Gloria Shoda in her address.
The boss of the NCAC also disclosed that the government was in talks with Startimes satellite television broadcaster to launch a state-owned BBN that would genuinely represent Nigerian content.
He also advised that a nudity bill would be put forward by the agency to punish sexual acts as shown on BBN.
He said: “The bill will be re-presented. Without a legal framework, you can’t fight a battle; we’ll certainly be aware of that.
“I’m going to bring up the Big Brother Naija problem. I spoke with National Broadcasting Commission representatives because it’s awful what’s going on now. It’s not part of our own culture to have love affairs on the screen.
“Let me use this forum to inform Nigerians that there is coming a new Big Brother Naija and we’re working with Startimes. We’re doing BBN reflecting the real culture of Nigeria. We are already working on it, everything that will be eaten there will be Nigerian food, the clothes will be Nigerian clothes. “Meanwhile, for the fourth time, BBNaija housewives Khafi and Gedoni were caught having sex on the reality show.
Fans expressed their worries about the widespread meetings of lovemaking between Khafi and Gedoni, with other partners complaining about the alarming pace at which condoms disappear in the house.
Many are worried that before the show is over, Khafi might just get pregnant.
However, after leaving her work without authorization to join the Big Brother reality TV show, Khafi, who lives her best life in the house, faces disciplinary inquiries in the UK.
