Three of the greatest entertainers in Nigeria graced the 2019 Hi-Life Fest finals. Hi-Life Fest lastly achieved an epic crescendo on Sunday, August 18, 2019, after three months of sensational music performances across south-east Nigeria.
All four finalists brought their A-game to the grand award as they tried to stake their claim. Frank Onyeka, Chimaroke Chimex, Chijioke Charles, and Umunnukwe Nwanja are some of Nigeria’s most talented budding high-life talents and it was an amazing showpiece watching these boys strut their things in a nighttime bid to be declared champions.
The night was full of sensational performances by the contestants as well as guest artists including veteran singer–Onyeka Onwenu, master Limpopo–KCEE, and native rapper and brand ambassador–Phyno.
These superstars were not the only artists to grace the stage, as Hi-Life Fest’s past winners took the stage to delight the attending customers. The ideal precedent for the evening was given by Chibest David and Dons Ifeanyi, as their performances reminded everyone attending the enormous talent of these young talents of highlife. While all the side-attractions were quite noteworthy, both in the dance and music category the night belonged to the winners.
With 2 million Naira, Ofu Obi dance group went home, while Chijioke Charles learned the 5 million Naira mouth-watering amount. It’s difficult to imagine a more interesting conclusion to the Hi-Life Fest 2019 edition, and it’s going to be interesting to see how the talents that arose from this platform continue to advance their craft and become bonafide stars.
